OUR STORY
HOW WE MET
Farah and Vijay’s story began through a bond of friendship that spanned 15+ years. Farah’s brother, Farhan, has been one of Vijay's best—most charming—friend for over 25 years. Through countless adventures, inside jokes, and gatherings, Farah eventually became part of the friend circle. It was during those times when Farhan introduced them, planting the seed of a friendship built on trust and laughter.
Over the years, life took them on different paths. They shared moments as friends—talking about everything from random concerts and festivals to deep, meaningful conversations about life. It wasn’t until later, as Vijay navigated a difficult chapter in his personal life, that their connection deepened. There was something undeniable between them—like gravity pulling them closer.
Farah found herself suddenly drawn to Vijay’s magnetic personality and genuine heart; while simultaneously Vijay was captivated by Farah’s bubbly personality and caring soul. Both Farah and Vijay felt a connection but were too nervous to initiate anything first. That is until Snapchat .. when Vijay sent a picture of his Daughters it was on this day they both revealed their feelings for each other and had THE conversation that they will never forget. Summoning a mix of nerves and hope, Vijay finally gathered the courage to talk to his friend Farhan and ask permission to take his little sister out on a date. He said No…thing would make him happier! Farhan thought it was an excellent idea so Vijay planned their first date at Ascend in Bellevue. It didn’t take long for them to realize this was more than coincidence. Fate, it seemed, had been working quietly in the background all along. What started as friendship blossomed into something extraordinary—two people who truly understood one another, being friends before anything else… lifting each other higher toward their dreams.
THE PROPOSAL
Her Story:
It was June - and beautiful weather - Vijay and I had been planning and rescheduling a photoshoot together as a family for the past several months! I had no idea of the plans he truly had in store for me
I happened to be running late, which is just so unlike me (LOL), but once we got to Alki, we started the photo shoot and things were going great!
During the middle of the photo shoot, Vijay asked me to take the girls to buy some refreshments, when I came back I noticed Vijay pulling around an unusually large wagon full materials and things. I thought this was odd, but figured they were items for the beach.
Lawrence, our photographer asked me to stand up on a ledge and pose a different photo with my back turned looking out toward the sunset. While I was distracted, Vijay and the girls were preparing for a moment that I will never forget.
When I turned around, I saw Vijay and the girls holding up signs asking, “Will you marry me?” Vijay was on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hand, and I was in shock!
When Vijay put the ring on my finger, I felt so overwhelmed with joy! All of a sudden we hear people clapping and cheering, strangers walking by and sitting at restaurants happened to witness the entire moment.
As we celebrated with smiles and hugs, I turned to the girls feeling so full in my heart and my emotions all over the place, I asked, “So does this mean that you girls want me to be apart of your lives forever?!” Both the girls looked up at me with the biggest smiles, nodding yes and embracing me with love and sincerity. This day bonded the four of us and it is a moment that I will cherish forever <3
His Story:
On a memorable day at Alki Beach in Seattle on June 19th, I took Farah and my two daughters, Jayna and Jemma, for what she thought was a simple photoshoot with a close friend of mine. We captured moments at different spots along the beach. The pictures were turning out great, and the weather couldn't have been better. We were able to change outfits and we went to a different location where I felt would be the best location for the proposal.
We ended up at the end of Alki beach and I found a perfect spot to propose to her. My photographer (and friend) Lawrence set her up to gaze out at the puget sound and the olympic mountains. Thats when it was the perfect time for the girls to bring out their signs that read, "Will you Marry Me?" As she turned around in complete shock, I was down on one knee asking for her hand in marriage. Her joy was undeniable and it’s a memory that will forever hold a special place in my heart. The crowd behind me was cheering as if I had won my prize (and I did!).

Like many European hotels, the ME Sitges Terramar outfits its rooms with two single beds, which are typically joined with a topper to form a king-size bed. While most rooms are set up in the king configuration, guests can request to have the beds separated for a twin arrangement, if preferred.
